Savannah, Ga

9:22 PM

Even though we were only in Savannah for one day, I loved it!

Savannah has so much Southern charm. It has this warm, relaxed, and charming vibes throughout the city. I can definitely see myself moving to this city.

The city has several town plazas which have beautiful Spanish moss trees and the tallest Magnolia trees I have ever seen. We walked around the brick streets admiring the architectural design of the houses turned hotels or part of the Savannah College of Art and Design campus. We walked around the peaceful historic district and felt safe walking after dark.

I couldn’t help but take photos even though my mom rushed me. I can’t tell you why because what happens in Savannah stays in Savannah.

For dinner, we ate at Paula Deen’s restaurant the Lady and Sons. We opted for the buffet option which included a salad bar, the best of Southern comfort food, and a dessert. The best of Southern comfort food with chef Paula Deen included fried chicken, ribs, meatloaf, and chicken fried steak. There were plenty of sides also. The sweet tea was delicious. The dessert options are Gooey ooey cake, peach cobbler, and peach coobler. I got the cake and I couldn’t finish it because it was so sweet.
