Weekend Recap :: July 9

7:45 PM

I really debated whether or not to write a recap. Honestly, this past week was very rough for me: I had a car accident Monday night, feelings of guilt from the car accident, lack of sleep, the tragedies happening around the country, and injustices. Regardless of everything happening, I think it's important to remember that God is sovereign, perfect, and His grace is sufficient.
My Facebook feed is inundated with feelings of sadness, anger, prejudice, and confusion. I've noticed that people want change. People don't just want hashtags anymore. What can be done with all this hate, violence, injustice, and crime?
We need to seek our Lord.
We can pray for each other. I really believe that this is a heart issue and God can change hearts.
On Sunday morning, as we walked our dogs - I did a prayer walker around our neighborhood. I encourage you to do the same. It's easy to do. You just look around, observe, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, and pray to the one who created the stars, the planets, and this universe. You can pray like we did around the neighborhood, your school, or another area of your community.
Even though I did not want to do anything this weekend, I still spent part of it with my mom. She is so funny. I love spending time with her.
